Our Journey

dhaba_nasa_cesta

With taste and heart we create our story, a place where the smell of spices, a warm atmosphere and honest food come together. A place where a visit is an experience you will remember.

We are a bistro with a cozy and warm atmosphere, where 80% of the menu is vegetarian. We are cooked by a Nepalese chef who puts not only experience but also soul into each recipe. Our honest suppliers are carefully selected and you will not find GMOs or alcohol in our kitchen.

Values

Our priority is a satisfied customer and the joy of discovering new things. We cook nutritious food – healthy, high-quality and honest. We like to experiment, bring surprising flavors and pay attention to fair relationships between suppliers, customers and employees.

Fresh, Tasty and Healthy

We believe in food that is fresh, tasty and healthy. We have dusted off old recipes and the tradition of using legumes in a modern form, scented with Indian spices. For us, food is nourishment for the body and soul. With us you can eat quickly, but with pleasure. We cook with love and respect for nature.

Every stop at our bistro is an experience where we connect people and build the community and the Dhaba team.

Dhaba was born from a long-standing dream to bring Indian cuisine to Liptovský Mikuláš, which is surprisingly close to us. Close in its simplicity, abundance of legumes and the fact that food is not only perceived as fuel for the body, but as nourishment from within.

After six years of practicing yoga and working with the body, I increasingly lacked balance in what we give our body as food. Less quantity, more quality. Less overload, more conscious choice. Food and drinks as a way of caring for the body, mind and inner peace.

Since we live in an environment where meat is a common part of the daily diet, we decided to go a different way. From the rich Indian cuisine, we have selected nutritious vegetarian dishes that form the basis of our menu.
Of the meat dishes, you will find only the most typical ones – the ones that any Indian chef would recommend to you: chicken tikka masala and butter chicken masala.

We believe that our vegetarian dishes will be loved not only by those who do not eat meat, but also by those who like to eat it – because good food does not need compromises.

We have consciously excluded alcohol from the drinks. It is not nutritious. We have created a combo of traditional Indian drinks and collaboration with local producers, who bring new flavors in a cleaner and healthier form for our bodies.

This is how it makes sense to us.
And we believe that when you allow yourself to taste something new, you slow down and feel the atmosphere of the space, you leave calmer, lighter and a little more balanced.
